Booster Club Tutta Bella Scholar-Athlete Awards

The Tutta Bella Scholar-Athlete Awards are given out at the end of each season (Fall, Winter, Spring) to one outstanding athlete in each sport who embodies leadership and success both athletically and academically.     

Tutta Bella, a Northwest restaurant chain, is dedicated to recognizing high school students who live in the community neighboring its restaurants. Since 2009, Tutta Bella in Issaquah has committed to supporting this goal by acknowledging outstanding student-athletes and their achievements.  At the end of each sports season, the Booster Club asked the coaches nominating worthy candidates. From these nominations, the Booster Board selects and honors one student each of the season sports.  The recipient is given a Tutta Bella gift certificate along with recognition in the Issaquah Reporter, Booster Buzz, IHS enews and the Tutta Bella restaurant.

The following criteria are considered in the award selection*:

• Student is a senior  
• Athlete shows leadership to the team
• Athlete demonstrates good sportsmanship
• Student is in strong academic standing (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)
• Student is involved in the IHS Community in addition to their sport

Special Olympics:  The Booster Club is a cheerleader for all our students at Issaquah High School.  including those with intellectual disabilities. A more unique set of criteria is used to evaluate these amazing kiddos.

SPRING ATHLETES   (COVID19)

These talented student-athletes never had the pleasure of competing during their senior year due to the COVID19 shutdown.  Each, however, was an outstanding leader, role model, and driven athlete in their sport.  We know that each of these athletes would have lead thier teams to State!   The Booster Club honors their high school career and everything they gave to their Issaquah community.

Sydney Anteznana ~ Girls Tennis

Congratulations to Sydney Antezana, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Girls Tennis Coach, Nico Hakes, nominated Sydney and writes, “Unfortunately, with the situation, I did not get to spend enough time with the team.  However, Sydney was a hard worker, honest, showed positive leadership, and was a great ambassador.” It was sad for Sydney and her teammates as her senior season was cut short by the cancelation of the Spring Sports Season.

Sydney has excelled all 4 years participating on the Girls Tennis Team at Issaquah High.  Sydney and her partner made it to the second round of Kingco playoffs her Junior Year.

Sydney is an exemplary scholar-athlete.  Other school and community activities include volunteering through the National Charity League, Northwest Harvest, and Friends of Youth as well as Eastside Baby Corner. Her success has made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Sydney, and best of luck in the future!

Natalie Fortes ~ Cheer

Congratulations to Natalie Fortes, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Cheer coach Laura Meserole nominated Natalie and writes, “Natalie has been a member of the cheer squad for the past 4 years, serving as our captain during her senior season. Although she was initially apprehensive about being the only returning senior, she doubled down on her commitment to the team and provided positive and encouraging leadership throughout the year. Natalie went beyond her captain duties to choreograph the majority of our routines and became our liaison with the IHS dance team for several performances. She stayed committed to her academics while participating in cheer, on a mental health youth advisory board, and working part-time. She will be attending Gonzaga University in the fall, pursuing a PR/Marketing major and a minor in Business. Natalie is an ideal representation of an IHS Scholar-Athlete.”

Natalie has excelled all four years participating in Cheer at Issaquah High. She was team captain her senior year. And received the award for “Most Determination”.

Natalie is an exemplary scholar-athlete.  Other school and community activities include volunteering with Archnova, a student lead mental health activist group and as a camp counselor at the Girl Scouts summer camp. Her success has made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Natalie, and best of luck in the future!

Nathalie Martinez ~ Girls Track

Congratulations to Natalie Martinez, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Track Coaches Niall Wachtman, Jerry Loveless, and Elizabeth Ryker, nominated Natalie and write, “Natalie has excelled in competition, (KingCo qualifier in the shot, discus and javelin, SeaKing District qualifier in the discus, IHS Top 25 All-Time in the discus and javelin), but even more impressively, she has consistently made those around her better. With words and actions, she has modeled the highest standards in teamwork, commitment, and citizenship. Her peers selected her as a Team Captain as an underclassman, an honor that accurately reflects her innate leadership abilities. It was a daily occurrence to see her sharing something meaningful with teammates, whether it was a nugget of technical expertise or thoughts on how to best navigate being a student-athlete.” 

Natalie has excelled 3 years participating in Track at Issaquah High. She earned the honor of team captain her junior year and received the Coach’s Award. She also participated on the Swim team 4 years and Gymnastics 2 years. She was so ready for a fun season to end her senior year...hoping to make it to KingCo, Districts and maybe State. Natalie missed out on her senior Track season due to the cancellation of the Spring sports season. She has missed the joy of throwing another PR and hanging out with the Throws Family...she organized a lot of activities to help them bond...donut runs, "family" dinners, etc. and she is definitely sad about not getting to say good-bye to her coaches and teammates properly.

Natalie is an exemplary scholar-athlete.  Other community and school activities include volunteering as a coach/mentor with local youth sports programs and participating in the IHS band, wind ensemble. Her success has made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Natalie, and best of luck in the future!

Jack Githens ~ Baseball

Congratulations to Jack Githens, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Boys Baseball Coach, Rob Reese, nominated Jack and writes, “Jack has been a 2-year starter for the Baseball team. He has been an outstanding outfielder and leader on our team. Jack is a leader both on and off the field. He is a great role model for our younger players.” After coming 3rdin state his junior year in Baseball, Jack and his teammates were excited to make a run at the state championship this Spring. They all were sad to miss out on the chance to compete this year due to the cancellation of Spring sports for their senior season.

Jack has excelled all four years participating in Baseball at Issaquah High. He also participated in Football and Swim all 4 years at IHS. He was named KingCo Honorable Mention for Baseball his Junior year.

Jack is an exemplary scholar-athlete.  Other school and community activities include playing summer league American Legion Baseball and serving as ASB Class President 2019-2020. His success has made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Jack, and best of luck in the future!

 

Shelby Chang ~ Dance

Congratulations to Shelby Chang, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Dance Team Coach, Melanie Krieger, nominated Shelby and writes, “In my seventeen years of teaching and coaching, I have met a handful of students who have thoroughly impressed me with their integrity, talent, and passion. Shelby Chang is one of those unique students. I have known Shelby as her Dance Team Coach/Assistant Coach for the past four years and have witnessed her endless dedication to making our team what it is today. Shelby has been a reliable and strong team member for all four years. She is confident, poised, driven, and has a great connection with her teammates. She is a natural leader and was unanimously chosen as an officer during her junior and senior year. She knows when the team needs to focus and work hard, and when they need to balance hard work with some team building and fun activities. She has grown to be a wonderful teacher and advocate for the team. Her teammates describe Shelby as hard-working, disciplined, witty, helpful, and honest. Shelby genuinely loves Issaquah and the Dance Team. It shows every day in her work ethic and her “all in” effort. She has learned over the years the importance of a “we not me” attitude, and believes her responsibility as a leader is to serve others. She models that leadership is about serving the team and works hard each day to make them stronger as dancers and as teammates. Leading your peers can present unique challenges. Shelby’s willingness and motivation to set high standards for herself as a leader, has pushed her to become one of the strongest Captains I have worked with. She has a “teachable spirit” and is always looking for feedback on how to improve as a dancer and leader. She has incredible patience under pressure. When given any task, Shelby gets it done, without reminders or much direction. She values the importance of organization and preparation. When team concerns are presented to her, she is quick to work on effective solutions.”

Shelby has excelled all four years participating on the Dance Team at Issaquah High.  Under her leadership and participation, the Dance Team has received countless top rankings and has qualified for the WIAA State Dance Competition in all styles each season. She participated in Dance Team (4 Years), was First Lieutenant (1 year), and Captain (1 year).

Caleb Kim ~ Boys Track

Congratulations to Caleb Kim, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Boys Track Coaches, Mike Miller, and Elizabeth Ryker nominated Caleb and write, “Caleb is an exceptional young man who has masterfully juggled a rigorous academic schedule with various club activities, leadership positions, and sports. Caleb is the kind of athlete who you have to remind at times to slow down…he wants to go 100% all the time and do it all! He’s a very good leader by example but he also is not afraid to speak up when necessary in thoughtful and respectful ways with his peers. He has everyone’s respect and admiration. Lastly, Caleb is super enthusiastic and positive with a wonderful sense of humor. His attitude is something I see permeate throughout the team which is so appreciated.”

Caleb has excelled all four years participating in Track at Issaquah High.  He has also participated in Cross Country for 3 years.  He competed in many events in track and participated in the Kingco meet all four years of high school. Caleb has also won the Coach’s award for pole vaulting. Caleb missed out on his Senior Track season when the Spring Sports Season was canceled. He misses the comradery with his team members and cleaning up after long pole vault meets, cheering, and laughing with his teammates.

Caleb is an exemplary scholar-athlete.  Other community and school activities include being a member of the Evergreen Philharmonic participating as a member of ASB and HOSA. His success has made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Caleb, and best of luck in the future!

 

 Cynthia Lee ~ Girls Golf

Congratulations to Cynthia Lee, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Girls Golf Coach, Tom Bakamus, nominated Cynthia and writes, “Cynthia played a very important role in our 2019 3rd place State finish and is a well-rounded Scholar-Athlete who has been a valuable asset all four years to the Girls Golf Team. I could always depend on Cynthia for consistently attending practice and helping out whenever needed, on and of the golf course.”

Cynthia has excelled all four years participating on the Girls Golf Team at Issaquah High. She also played soccer for 2 years. Cynthia was named captain of the golf team her Junior and Senior Years. She was named KingCo 4A Honorable Mention her junior year, she received the Community Service Honor Award and a Seattle University Academic Achievement Scholarship.

Cynthia is an exemplary scholar-athlete.  Other school and community activities include volunteering at youth summer camps, Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank and Eastside Baby Corner, earning over 100 community service hours. WINTER ATHLETES

Adam Bussey -  Boys Swim & Dive

Adam Bussey

Congratulations to Adam Bussey, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Boys Swim and Dive coach, Laura Halter, nominated Adam and writes, “Adam was a great leader in and out of the pool, always working at his highest level, constantly pushing himself to improve. He was very encouraging to the underclassmen and pushed them to learn new things and make themselves better swimmers and teammates. He always displayed great sportsmanship, showing respect for officials, opposing coaches, his coaches, and his teammates. Adam has a very gentle and patient way of working with his teammates and is always very positive in his encouragement. His teammates and coaches will all truly miss his leadership and presence on our swim team next year.”

Adam has been on the Swim and Dive team all 4 years of high school. This year he served as team captain. He qualified for Kingco both his Junior and Senior Years. He also participated in Cross Country and Track and Field all four years of high school. Adam has also been involved in the school robotics Club, serving as president the past 2 years. Outside of school he is very involved in running and climbing. He is also a candidate for the honor of Eagle Scout.

Adam is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.9!  His hard work and dedication have made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School. Adam plans on attending Purdue University in the fall and pursuing a degree in Physics. Congratulations, Adam, and best of luck in the future!

Carson Tanner - Wrestling

Congratulations to Carson Tanner, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Wrestling coach, Kirk Hyatt, nominated Carson and writes, “Carson’s academic honors and unconditional dedication to his sport is the highest I have had the honor to coach, this being my 25thseason as a wrestling coach.”

Carson has accomplished many honors while wrestling for IHS. His coach writes that in 2019 he was 2nd place in Washington State Freestyle. He is a 3x KingCo league placer, 3rd, 2nd and 1st. Seeded 1stin 2020. He is a 2-time region participant, 2018-6th  in State, 2019 state participant and 2020 ranked 3rd  in the state. He was also entered into an invite-only tournament ‘Gut Check’ and placed 4th. He earned recognition as a WIAA Academic State Champion with a GPA of 3.9.

Carson has also turned in over 100 community service hours during his 4 years of wrestling at IHS.  He earned an Eagle Scout Award when he was 14. He has also participated in humanitarian dental trips to Nicaragua and Grenada.

Carson is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.9!  His hard work and dedication have made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School. Congratulations, Carson, and best of luck in the future!

 Isobel Grudin - Gymnastics

Congratulations to Isobel Grudin, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Girls Gymnastics coach, Ryan Fleisher, nominated Isobel and writes, “As the head gymnastics coach at IHS I have had the privilege of coaching Isobel for the past 4 years. Throughout those years I have watched Isobel blossom and grow as an athlete, student, and individual. I have seen her succeed and see her struggle and overcome. Her work ethic and character make her a standout gymnast and responsible leader. She works well with her peers as well as with coaches and other adults. Isobel is an active participant in all things, she is involved in school activities, sports, academics, and outside activities. On my team, she is a positive leader and was chosen to be Captain by her teammates. She has an energy that is contagious, she works hard and has a good attitude while doing so. She is a constant learner who pushes herself to improve. Isobel will achieve greatness; I am sure of that. She is driven and sets and attains her goals. Isobel will always work to be a good student and push herself academically while involving herself in school activities. She does not just attend our school she is an active part of the school, involved in a variety of ways. Outside of school, Isobel seeks to find activities that give back and make our world better. She thinks globally and acts both globally and locally.”

Isobel has been on Varsity Gymnastics 4 years and has competed at the state level. She has also participated in the Cross Country Team and Varsity Track all 4 years at IHS. Isobel was the 2019 winner at the National level for the PTSA Reflections Competition for her video submission. She has also volunteered as a camp counselor, worked teaching English to children in Costa Rica and Thailand.

Isobel is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.5!  Her hard work and dedication have made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School. Congratulations, Isobel, and best of luck in the future!

Lauren Frueh - Girls Basketball

Congratulations to Lauren Frueh, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Girls Basketball coach, Doug Crandall, nominated Lauren and writes, “Lauren has been an exceptional member of the girls' basketball team. She is full of optimism, considerate of others and often the emotional leader.  She is a two-year captain and varsity starter.”

Lauren has participated in basketball at IHS all 4 years of high school as well as track and field and softball for 1 year. While attending Issaquah High Lauren also was enrolled in the Sports Medicine program and participated in the state competition 2 years. She has been a member of the Eagle Crew and National Honor Society. As a volunteer, she has participated in the WIAA Student Leadership Group and has been a camp counselor at multiple camps.

Lauren is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.9 while taking multiple AP classes!  Her hard work and dedication have made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School. She plans on attending a 4-year university after IHS. Congratulations, Lauren, and best of luck in the future!

 

Rowan Dillon - Boys Basketball

Congratulations to Rowan Dillon, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Boys Basketball coach, Brad Valentine, nominated Rowan and writes, “Rowan displays integrity in everything he does. He consistently leads by example and is always a team-first guy.  Rowan is an all-around great young man and somebody we are proud to have worn an Issaquah basketball uniform.  He is the type of athlete that is a great athlete but an even better person.”

Rowan has played basketball all 4 years at IHS as well as Lacrosse for 4 years. While a student at IHS he also Reffed youth basketball games and Special Olympic Basketball games, he also volunteered as a Voice Mentor for 2 years.

Rowan is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.87 while enrolling in multiple AP classes. His hard work and dedication have made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School. He plans on attending a 4-year University next year. SPRING ATHLETES

Torin Carmichael ~ Boys' Cross Country

Congratulations to Torin Carmichael, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Cross Country Coach, Gwen Robertson, nominated Torin and writes, “Torin has competed on the Cross Country team all 4 years of high school. He never misses practice and comes with the intent to do the proper training. Torin was instrumental in leading the summer training group and has stepped up as a leader this year. Torin is one the coaches can count on to give us honest feedback and he truly cares about all his teammates.”

Torin has excelled all four years participating in varsity cross country at Issaquah High.  He reached the state championship competition one year. He also participated in varsity track and field 3 years where he earned the most improved athlete award.

Torin is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.48 while taking numerous AP classes.  He has also been an active member of the concert and marching band at IHS for 2 years.  Other community activities include participating in a Youthworks mission trip in Blackfeet Nation and is a two-time participant in Idaho Servant Adventures mission trips. His success has made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Torin, and best of luck in the future!

Maya Patton ~ Volleyball

Congratulations to Maya Patton, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Volleyball Coach, Tami Reese, nominated Maya and writes, “Maya has been a great leader for our volleyball team. She is fun to coach and loves the game. She wants to win and is a very hard worker. Maya cares about everyone in the volleyball program. Maya is a great girl, she loves making new friends, she is a caring, passionate person and a leader on the team.” 

Maya has excelled all four years participating in Volleyball at Issaquah High.  She has earned awards for Empathy and Compassion in volleyball.  She also played in the State Volleyball qualifier last year. Maya is the team captain this year.

Maya is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.5 while enrolling in multiple AP courses.  She has also been enrolled in the Sports Medicine Program.  Other community activities include participating in Young Life. Her hard work and dedication have helped her earn a spot at Seattle University where she will be playing volleyball next year. Her success has made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Maya, and best of luck in the future!

Swathi Padmanabhan ~ Girls' Cross Country

Congratulations to Swathi Padmanabhan, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Cross Country Coach, Gwen Robertson, nominated Swathi and writes, “Swathi has participated and contributed to the Cross Country team at Issaquah High school for four years. She is a reliable and consistent performer. Swathi has quietly helped many of the younger athletes on the team understand what the sport is about. She cares about all of her teammates and has a positive impact on the girls team.”

Swathi has excelled all four years participating on the Cross Country Team at Issaquah High.  She has also been on the Varsity Track Team for 3 years. She has been a Scholar Athlete every season and was on the State Cross country team. 

Swathi is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.87 while enrolling in multiple AP courses.  Other community activities include being on the Teen Leadership Board and participating in the Relay for Life. As well as, volunteering at the YMCA, Mountains to Sound greenway, Issaquah Food Bank and Alps Trail club. Her success has made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Swathi, and best of luck in the future!

Jack Githens ~ Football

Congratulations to Jack Githens, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Football Coach, Josh Brookshire, nominated Jack and writes, “Jack is a leader within the program, an excellent student and a leader within the school community. Jack is the at-large member of the football leadership council and was selected by his teammates and the coaching staff as the overall best leader within the team.”

Jack has excelled all four years participating in football at Issaquah High.  He also has played baseball and Swim and Dive 3 years.  He has been recognized as a scholar athlete every year.

Jack is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.7. He is currently the ASB President of Issaquah High and participates in DECA.  Other community activities include working with Issaquah youth football as referee and in concessions on the weekends. His success has made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Jack, and best of luck in the future!

Sydney Wan ~ Girls' Swim & Dive

Congratulations to Sydney Wan, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Swim and Dive Coach, Laura Halter, nominated Sydney and writes, “Sydney has served as the captain of her team her senior year and has been instrumental in fostering team spirit and sportsmanship for 90 girls this past fall, as well as keeping all the social aspects of the team well organized. Sydney leads by example in and out of the pool always giving 100 percent in her workouts and in her competitions. Sydney is such a positive role model, friend and peer to her teammates. She has done peer coaching and is always willing to help any of the coaches whenever possible. She has been the communications liaison for the coaches and swimmers this past year, always making sure everyone has all the information that they need. Sydney is a true example of a Scholar Athlete and represents her school and her sport with pride and enthusiasm, she will truly be missed next year.”

Sydney has been an athlete on the Issaquah Girls Swim and Dive team for 4 years.  She has been a Varsity letter winner each of those years.  She has also qualified for Kingco, Districts and State every year so far. She received the Freshman award 3 years ago.

Sydney is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 4.0 while enrolling in multiple AP courses.  She is a National Merit Commended student and has earned recognition awards in Math, AP English and Graphic Design. She has served the Key Club as both Treasurer and President.  She is also involved in the National Honor Society serving as Vice President of Communications as well as contributing to Eagle Crew as a member and group leader. In other community activities Sydney is a very accomplished swim instructor and lifeguard teaching the youth of our community at both Boehm pool and at the Edgebrook Swim and Tennis Club. Her success has made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Sydney, and best of luck in the future! 

Erik Tseng ~ Boys' Tennis

Congratulations to Erik Tseng, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Boys Tennis Coach, Nico Hakes, nominated Erik and writes, “Erik was selected as a Captain for the Varsity Tennis team among other varsity team members unanimously during the beginning of the season. He has shown a quiet, but invaluable leadership role keeping the team focused on the same goal. He is willing to sacrifice personal reward for the betterment of the team and is always willing to put forward maximum effort. He learns from errors, shows true class, sportsmanship and persistence in all aspects of the game.” The coach also added “I believe his willingness to sacrifice for the whole team and work with new Varsity players is admirable.”

Erik has excelled all four years participating in Tennis at Issaquah High.  He Placed second in boys doubles in 4A KingCo Championships in October 2019 and qualified for the 4A State Championships in May 2020.      

Erik is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.78.  Other community activities include volunteering to teach tennis to kids in group lessons at the Edgebrook Swim and Tennis Club.  He has earned The President’s Volunteer Service Award (Gold). His success has made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Erik, and best of luck in the future!

 Wyatt Bevill ~ Boys' Golf

Congratulations to Wyatt Bevill, a senior at Issaquah High School.  He has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Boys Golf Coach, Tom Bakamus, nominated Wyatt and writes, “Wyatt has shown a drive and determination during his playing days at Issaquah to not only improve his game but to help his teammates in any way possible to get the most out of their game. He is well respected around the league for not only his play but sportsmanship in the game. He is dependable, honest, a leader and great asset to the Issaquah High Golf Team.”

Wyatt has excelled all four years participating on the golf team at Issaquah High.  He was team captain for the 2019 season and honorable mention All Kingco.

Wyatt is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 3.06.  He received the IHS Pillar Award based on character and drive for learning. He has also been a Washington State DECA finalist. Other community activities include participating in Issaquah EarthDay and working at the Newcastle Golf Course. Wyatt also runs his own company, B & B Lawn Care, marketing and maintaining lawns in the area. His success has made him a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  Congratulations, Wyatt, and best of luck in the future!
 Claire Tylulki ~ Girls' Soccer 

Congratulations to Claire Tylutki, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as a Tutta Bella Scholar Athlete by the Issaquah Booster Club and Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria!

Issaquah Girls Soccer Coach, Kyle Tatro, nominated Claire and writes, “Claire is a great player, teammate and better student. She is kind and compassionate and adds value to any community she is a member.

Claire has excelled all four years participating in soccer at Issaquah High.  She was named to the Kingco League team as a junior and senior. During her time playing for IHS she has earned coaches awards her freshman and sophomore years as well as offensive player of the year and most inspirational. 

Claire is an exemplary scholar athlete with an impressive GPA of 4.0 while enrolling in multiple AP courses.  She has been recognized by her teachers with 3 IHS Pillar Awards for integrity, leadership and work ethic. Other community activities include volunteering at the Salvation Army and playing soccer for ISC Gunners.
